Helping Harry Smile

Hello! My name is Harry and I need your help.     When I was eight, I was diagnosed with cancer after a walnut sized tumor was "discovered" hanging next to my Uvula. Specifically, Rhabdomyosarcoma, for you scientific types.  For the next year, I made regular trips to the Albany Medical Center where I received an experimental form of  treatment involving both Chemotherapy, and Radiation. I survived, obviously, and have been cancer-free for 20 Years now. This would have been impossible if not for the wonderful community of my hometown and my family. However, I am now 30, and for the last 10 years I have been struggling with the after effects of the Radiation I received. My Jaw and Teeth have both been compromised and are degrading at a rate that basic dental hygiene cannot control. I have many broken teeth and have suffered from cuts and wounds to my gums because of them. Eating food is painful and difficult (and I'm a cook!), and I am at risk for infections that could lead to much worse problems.  On top of it all, I miss being able to smile at people! After a long search and with help from my family, I have finally found a Dentist, Dr. Sandro Evangelista,  that I am comfortable with and who I trust to do the necessary work. The work will be quite a bit of money and I am asking for 10000 dollars to begin the work to Extract my damaged teeth (18 of 'em folks), and Replace them with Bone Grafts so that we can build towards Dentures We had a bit of a scare when I first saw this dentist. After some X-Rays, it was determined that a tissue-biopsy was necessary before any other work began, and of course, we feared the worst. After two very tense weeks, I finally returned to the Doctor and was told that the tissue was benign and that we could proceed with the dental work. To say the least, we were very relieved. So now, I have the plan in front of me, and thanks to a very generous family member, I am able to schedule my first appointment where the dentist will remove three of my teeth that pose the biggest threat to my health. I need your help to keep the momentum going! That's 15 more teeth that need work. I've never been good at asking for help, so I'm just going to ask the way my parents taught me.
