Helping Donna Coughlan

Dear friends and community,

On Sept 27th 2018 Donna Coughlan was found in her home in serious condition after sustaining life threating injuries from a fall the night before. Donna was brought to Kincardine hospital, where she was airlifted to London Victoria Trauma unit. She is currently in stable but serious condition being treated for brain trauma, including bleeding on the brain, as well as a fractured arm and other injuries.
As many of you are aware Donna has been a long time community patron, devoting much of her time and money to those struggling. Donnas true passion however has been uniting stray cats with their forever families. She's changed many lives both human and feline through her non profit organization "Allies for Alley cats". In 2016 Donna was recognized for all her community efforts and awarded Citizen of the Year". Unsurprisingly Donna continues to use her kind heart in her paid profession, managing Malcom Place; a local retirement home. Unfortunately this does not provide compensation or benefits during this time away. Though it's not clear the extent of the injuries and what the road to recovery will look like for her, doctors believe she will be unable to return to her home or work for a lengthy period of time. Donna is a mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister, but also a beautiful friend to all that crosses her path. Donna will need the support of her friends and community at this time as she has so often given. We ask at this time that you support Donna in any way you can, whether monetary, volunteering and/ or thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
