Helping David after Theatre theft

On Friday 13th July, during an All That Malarkey performance at the King’s Head Theatre in London premiering our LGBT show ‘Glitterball’, someone went into our green room and stole phones, wallets and worst of all, David's MacBook Pro laptop.
The elation of a great show, lots of laughs, sweat, tears (and five star reviews) - with parting words to the audience “we were born this way and love Trumps hate” - came crashing down as we came off stage to blind panic and phone calls to the police. Despite the free drinks that ensued (and there were MANY)...this was an absolutely devastating blow after what was a brilliant night.
David’s MacBook is how he makes his living, commissions, arrangements, compositions - he needs it to create the art that bring so many of us mad joy, concern for his mental state and so much laughter. Whoever stole it that night has had a detrimental affect on his career with deadlines and contracts compromised, as David put so eloquently, “so thank you very much, Mr Tosser”.
After exhausting insurance possibilities with help from the Musician's Union and other legal advice, we have been unable to claim back the money to get David a new MacBook.
David has taken out a couple of loans and has been far more concerned with us all cancelling cards and sorting phones etc than the loss of his whole livelihood.
We wanted to set up this GoFundMe page for anyone who is a lover of David's work - or just David as a person. A few people have asked if there is anything they can do, and offered contributions so we wanted to set up a page where people could help.
We have no expectations - the replacement Macbook Pro has cost £2500 - but anything we can offer to help him, we would be so hugely grateful.
David will be touched, mortified and embarrassed, but we can’t let him take the hit for this.
