Father of 4, Victim of Hit & Run
Leaving work with a coworker at approximately 2:00 am Saturday morning (7/1/17), the husband of a long time friend was involved in a rollover auto accident on FM 290 in the Hockley, TX area. After extracting himself from the vehicle, he proceeded to try to divert traffic away from his truck so that his coworker was not struck twice. He used the flashlight on his phone and was unable to see clearly because he could not locate his glasses.
It was then that he was struck by a hit and run vehicle and dragged approx 100 ft. Police are still trying to locate that vehicle.
Jason Froyd was Life Flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX and is currently in ICU.
{as of 7/11 he is awake from the coma, but due to the spinal/brain injuries, he is paralyzed from the shoulders down}
I am asking for assistance on her behalf (mostly because I know that she won't ask and try to do it all herself).
Any money received will be given directly to her to cover the mounting expenses that are coming from everywhere... household bills (rent, lights, water, gas, phone, groceries), loss of dual income, medical bills, wheelchair, moving expenses for wheelchair accessible home, fuel for her vehicle, babysitter to stay with their 4 children, the cost of food, parking while she is with him at the hospital, and many, many more...
