Adank family Tornado Relief fund

Donation protected
As many of you know, an F3 tornado ripped through the Elk Mound/Wheaton area (Northwestern Wisconsin) on Tuesday, September 24th, and left a path of destruction. My close friend since middle school, Donna Weber Adank, and her family had their home destroyed by the tornado.  Thankfully, no lives were lost and they are physically okay.

Donna was injured at work earlier this year and had been off work for 4 months. She just went back to work on light duty when the tornado hit. To made matters worse, Donna has also been suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis and living with daily chronic pain for the past few years. Now she is unable to work at all and is unable to receive workers compensation.

The family plans to rebuild, but they will be displaced for at least 6-8 months,  they are temporarily living in a small hotel room right now.

It is heart warming to see the outpouring of generosity so far. They are so thankful for the help from family, friends, Cedarbrook Church and volunteers for their assistance packing the house, removing debris, food/drink donations, and cutting and removing brush and trees. Also, Natural Touch Landscaping for their time and equipment and local businesses who have donated food, fuel cards and money.

My heart goes out to the great people of Elk Mound and Wheaton, the destruction they experienced will impact their lives forever.  After witnessing first hand the devastation caused by the tornado, those visions will be forever embedded in our minds. Many of the residents have lost their homes, trailers, garages, personal belongings, and some have lost everything.

The Adanks are a family that would help anyone in a second, now, it is our turn to continue with the generosity that has been started by many. They will need money to replace their lost income, personal belongings, living expenses, and to rebuild their home.

Please if you find it in your heart to donate it would be greatly appreciated!

ALL proceeds raised from this GoFundMe account will go directly to the Adanks.

Whether you are able to donate or not, please feel free to share this page so we can help this family get what they need!

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
