Helping a Cuddly Dog
Sadly, the night of December 10th, our sweet Hazel broke her hip; this happened spontaneously, as she was greeting someone at the front door.
She is a 5 year old mutt, who was adopted from the Last Hope k9 rescue a few years ago. Hazel suffers from separation anxiety and is very close with her owner, Cheryl. Cheryl will do anything she can to help Hazel, ensure she is fixed, and do what is best for her - including a possible amputation.
Unfortunately, this is all coming at a challenging time of year, as well as a personally challenging time for Cheryl. We are hoping to raise money to help nurse Hazel back to health, and ensure she is with her family, and her brother Bo, at home for Christmas.
Please offer what you can, and feel free to share to any social media site! Thank you in advance for your healing thoughts, prayers, and any donations or shares!
Another pupdate. Hazel had her leg amputated! We thought all went well, but then a few hours later she was rushed into emergency surgery due to internal bleeding. She is currently in critical condition, but stable. Keep praying, cancer sucks
We’ve received some news about Hazel and I wanted to update everyone. Doctors have confirmed that Hazel has cancer, so they’ve decided it would be best to amputate her leg. However, we aren’t in the clear yet. They have run scans and tests on Hazel for the aggression of the cancer, but unfortunately those won’t be ready for a week. So now it’s time to play the waiting game. Hazel will come home soon, sans a limb, but hopefully we can get her into physical therapy soon! I know she’ll be the cutest three limbed mutt I’ve ever seen. Your positive thoughts are working, but we still need more! Thank you so very much, from the bottom of our hearts, our family wouldn’t have had this choice without you.
