Santana Medical Recovery

Hi friends and family! This past weekend Luis (Wejo) Santana and I (Kenya) were involved in a serious car accident.  He was rushed to Condell Libertyville Hospital for emergency surgery to save his hand. He spent 7 days in the hospital and was recently released home. He suffered severe dislocation of his right thumb, a de-gloved hand from the finger tips to the wrist exposing his nerves.  Originally the surgeon told Wejo to not count on having a thumb but through a miracle he was able to save his right thumb!   He received a skin graft and his hand is currently attached to an artery from his groin to give life to his thumb. Through all of this, He is just grateful to be alive and still be here to be the father Sky needs. He will need several more surgeries, therapy and will have an extensive recovery phase which will require him to be out of work for a long period of time. Luis (Wejo) is hard working loving father of the apple of his eyes 2 year old Skylee Brooklyn Santana.  Luis is strong and a fighter.  I know he can get through this with the grace of God.   This is a difficult and trying time for our family and we are truly grateful for all the love, support and continued prayers. Luis will receive 100% of the donated funds that will be used to alleviate the unexpected medical expenses.
