Help for Federal employee w/ unhealthy husband

Hello, my name is Angela Dixon and I am a Federal employee in Miami-Dade.
Due to the government shutdown, I have not been paid since before Christmas, but yet I am still required to report to work.
I am the mother of a caring and patient teenage daughter and the wife of loving husband, Willie, who is God fearing and prided himself on providing for his family. Unfortunately, his ability to do so was paused just over 2 years ago when Willie developed congestive heart failure, then blood clots in his legs – which forced him to have to stop working.
Since then, Willie has had to have a heart valve replacement and was put on the list for a heart replacement. In 2017, Willie then endured a serious stroke which has left him completely immobile. Due to Willie having the stroke, he was removed from the heart transplant list and is currently on an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assisted Device)machine that is keeping his heart beating. Willie has had multiple hospitalizations in the past year. We were forced to cease rehabilitation services due to insurance coverage restraints. We are left to attempt rehabilitation on our own. Because Willie has to have direct care, I had to hire a private nurse.
Willie’s disability income covers the cost of the nurse, so living with just my income has been a struggle for the past few years. Now, with the one income we have being taken away due to the government shutdown, managing life is nearly impossible financially, and unbearable emotionally.
I, like my husband, am God fearing and try my best to stay positive. I have managed to keep my family stable as best as I could over these years. But this new stress has put me in a position where I have to put my pride aside and ask for help from anyone who is kind enough to give it.
Any financial help that I do receive will aid in the medical care of Willie as well as my family’s daily expenses.
I appreciate any help that may be provided to my family. I know this is a very tough time for SO many people right now. So I genuinely thank you from the bottom of the hearts of my husband, my daughter and my own.
