Helping out Cindy!

Hello all, I should start this with the GOOD parts...As most know, Mom and I have been looking for a place in Chippewa for a year and  a half now, she even started a job in Chippewa almost a year ago, actually March 27th is her 1 year anniversary there! Anyway, she got the job with intentions of us being moved to Chippewa within a month or so...this was sadly NOT the case...For 11 LONG months I have been driving her back and forth from E.C. to Chippewa and back again, every day (Most of you are aware that
she does not drive, never has). This was costly, and time consuming, but it was necessary. Well finally this Feb, we found a place!!! We were so excited, aand relieved!!! We struggled to pull together the security deposit and first month rent, but we did it!!! So we officially had a new home!! Back in Chippewa, back to Marshall, to Moms job...and thankfully in to a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath, 1 car attached garage, laundry room, dishwasher, etc...basically more than we could have ever asked for...
Needless to say the excitement and happiness was soon halted...when on the evening of March 8th, Mom took a fall in the new place and hurt her arm. I came home immediately as she was in alot of pain and felt she may have done some damage to her arm...boy was she right! The Dr at St. Joe's came in and told us she had broken her arm in 2 places, basically her elbow and the joint...we were told she needed to see an Orthopedic surgeon the very next day for evaluation, and to schedule her for SURGERY!! I can tell you this was a VERY frightening moment for my Mom. .she has never had surgery before, so not only does this come with so many crazy unknowns, but she instantly was brought back to less than a year ago, when my Aunt Mary- Moms sister, was having surgery and things didn't go well, and sadly Mary left us that day...so, this was all Mom could think of, that it was going to happen to her...:'(
All the surgery emotions and stress aside, the reality was- Mom would not be able to work for a extended amount of time now...she would be needing the surgery, and recovery time...I can tell you for certain, she will NOT be taking a second longer off of work than she is forced to...seeing as she already wants to go back...even tho she JUST had surgery, she doesn't want to be off work one min longer than she has to...so she will be back to work as quickly as possible!
As for currently, we are already fearing the money struggles ahead, and having just moved, feeling terrified about everything on our plate...We just finished moving the last of the things out of her old apt, I still have a few things in my storage unit to get...but I am taking care of Mom now too, as she is very limited in what she can do being wrapped from shoulder to finger tips in a splint and ace bandages...which impedes her movement and abilities ALOT.
I can tell you that she is feeling awful about the idea of having to ask for help for anything...but unfortunately until she is able to figure out short term disability or something- she has to concede to some outside help to be able to get by and not end up with more problems from this.
I will of course be helping out as much as I can...being on disability myself limits my income as well, but I will be putting 100% of it towards everything here!
So, this is why I created this page, to hopefully relieve some of the stress on her and allow her to rest and heal properly, and not be worried and upset all the time...and not feel rushed to get back to work before she is healed and physically ready.
So thank you to all, for ANY help not just monetary, that have been here to help us. We appreciate it so so much.
Much Love and thanks!
Jess
