Help DACA Students Renew Status
I am an international children's rights advocate, scholar, and lawyer who is helping young people who have been granted status under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) to apply for renewal immediately. The incoming administration has indicated that the DACA program will be cancelled on January 20 and the renewal process normally takes eight weeks so these young people have a very limited window of time to apply. Unfortunately, some of them do not have the $465 application fee right now, so I am asking my friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and others who care about vulnerable youth to help these young people who spent their childhood in the U.S. and are now working and going to school here by donating funds to cover their DACA application fees. All legal services are being provided for free by volunteer attorneys and law students. The funds will only be used for government fees.+ Read More
Thank you to everyone for their generous support to date! Since USCIS announced that they are once again accepting applications to renew DACA status, we have received requests for help from five students or siblings of students. We only have enough funding for one more application . Can you help us fund the other four?
Thank you for everyone's generous support up until now! We have sponsored 14 DACA students thus far and hope to sponsor at least two more who have asked for help this week. The renewal application fee is $495 per student. Can you help sponsor a DACA student so they can stay and complete their college degree?
