A OEF Veteran Recover after 8th Surgery



This is embarrassing for me to have to ask those who may not know me, and even if you do, you may not be aware of my story. I have served in the Army for almost a decade.
From 2005-2013

With (200th MP CO / 173D ABCT STB HHC / Operation Enduring Freedom OEF 07-08 /217th MP DET / 92D MP CO)

Unfortunately I have sustained multiple injuries service related while on Active Duty and as a Veteran. I am currently recovering from my recent surgical procedure and currently in physical therapy. I have had to have a surgery almost every year.

Just this past three years I have undergone two foot surgeries due to a metal plate and six screws causing tumors to form in my foot. I have had them removed twice and a mesh implant put in and now I have another forming. The Podiatrist stated that this may reoccur over and over before it is successful. I just had a Laterjet Procedure, the removal of my Clavicle bone and reconstruct my shoulder using two screws, called (The Laterjet Procedure) I also have two screws in my right shoulder from previous surgeries.

Currently I can not work until the completion of my physical therapy and medically cleared by my Doctor. I only receive a percentage from the VA Disability for previous surgeries and I have honestly sold everything that I own that holds any value to put food on the table or to pay my bills.
All resources have been exhausted or have had such major issues to include food stamps being cut off repeatedly due to the incompetent system they have running In the state of GA.

I’m am asking anyone willing to help out a Veteran temporarily. Any donations even $1 will help my cause to make ends meet and to survive through this summer so I can continue to provide for my kids until I am able to work.

This is not easy for me to open up about my life and rough patch I am experiencing. However I appreciate any and all donations made. There are resources available to veterans however many are only limited resources and funds. I and my family thank you.
