Rachel's Cancer Fight Fund

My name is Rose and recently my bright little blondie sister, Rachel Ball, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. She has been ill for months and after being diagnosed with Ciliac Disease and Crohn's Disease, fighting constant joint pain, anxiety, ulcers, anemia, Pityriasis Rosea, increasing fatigue and constant fevers, Rachel was admitted to the Hospital with an extremely low white blood count, no immune system, and 103 temperature.

Doctor's attributed her fever to all of her other conditions but after several blood tests, a spinal tap, and two bone marrow biopsies, the official diagnosis is Leukemia.

She has been transferred to a hospital in Fort Worth where she will begin treatment. Her Oncologist says there are no stages for this type of cancer... you have it or you don't. Her young age, faith, and large support group are all a plus! This treatment is extremely rough and as long as she makes it through there is a high chance she can be cured with a bone marrow transplant.

Unfortunately, the only transplant hospital in Rachel's "network" is in San Antonio. We are hoping she can complete her treatment here and just do the transplant in San Antonio. We will update everyone as time goes on. Rachel needs constant care right now which means my mom and myself taking turns to be by her side. We aren't really sure of all the expenses ahead but we don't want Rachel to worry about a thing. Every dollar... counts, helps, and we are eternally thankful for. That's one less minute she has to spend alone, one more dollar towards the possible trip to San Antonio and medical expenses not covered by her insurance, and one less thing to worry about in this time of extreme stress.
