Brooke Alder's Medical Fund

Donation protected
In honor of my niece, Brooke Alder, I wish to start this fund to help Brooke know she is not alone in this  journey.

Many of you know that Brooke has Ulcerative Colitis, a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract.  Brooke began her fight with this invisible disease in 2009  when she was only 13 years old at Johns Hopkins Children Center.
This child has amazed everyone she has met. She is such a beautiful soul, inside and out. She has tried her best to live a normal teenage life while facing many complications, including a mini stroke in 2011 and life threatening pneumonia in 2014.
Just this month, a serious liver complication has presented at the same time that her body has begun producing antibodies to Remicade, the drug that was being used to put her UC in remission. She is currently on her 3rd hospitalization since the start of June and will begin Humira this weekend since she is no longer responding to Remicade.
Resilliance and strength can be used to describe Brooke's  attitude towards Ulcerative Colitis and her struggles. No one would know the depth of her fight because when you see her, she is always smiling.
Brooke relies heavily on her faith and knows that God has a great plan for her.

Brooke's family has been a great emotional support for her; however, medical bills have taken a toll financially.
I would like to reach out to help Brooke with this huge financial burden from the medical expenses she has acquired.  Please consider  a donation to help support Brooke and her family.
