Help Alice Beat Cancer
On April 22nd Alice went in for emergency surgery to remove a tumor on her spine. A few days later she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. It's a form of cancer that most often occurs in and around the bones and typically occurs in children and young adults.
The treatment is intensive chemotherapy for a year. Alice and her family will be in the hospital every two weeks for treatment. But the good news is there is a high success rate.
We want to wrap our arms around this awesome kid and her family. So, we have started this fund to help Alice and her family to help cover medical expenses that are not covered by insurance and help to pay the mortgage and the bills as her mom Pam has had to take a year's leave from teaching.
We are hoping to raise $12,500 each quarter to add up to $50,000.
There are other ways to help. Local folks who want to make meals or help with grocery shopping can sign up here to help: https://mealtrain.com/7n260n
