For over 10 years, Aaron Loder has been living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The disease slowly and completely paralysed him and all he has left now is the movement of his eyes. Silenced by this cruel condition, he is completely isolated and unable to communicate with the world around him.
After trying and failing to use a $15,000 commercial eye gaze tracking device, SpeakYourMind Foundation created an affordable, easy-to-use communication system powered by a low-cost eye tracker and a windows tablet running custom software. While our work on his keyboard continues, all Aaron really wants... is to be able to listen to his collection of Clapton, Traffic and more.
Your donation will go directly to pay for a laptop, monitor and eye tracker, and the development of an accessible music player. It will allow him to Play, Pause, Rewind and Shuffle the tunes that he rocked out to all his life and he'll do it using only his eyes! A little AC/DC could be just the medicine his soul needs!
