Lani Goes UNION

It's been a long eleven-year journey, ladies and gentlemen. I've been working towards my goal of being a union makeup for film/tv since I was 19-years old, and now I have offically been accepted and invited to join IATSE 798, the east coast chapter for Hair and Makeup Artists working in Film, TV, and theater.


However, before you can begin to work on set of a big name TV show or film, IATSE 798 requires that you pay an initiation fee in full within a six month period.
So what that means is I have until Thursday, March 8th,  2018 to submit union dues and my acceptance paperwork.

Once you've paid your union dues, you get your *official union card* which:-allows you to work on major industry sets
-make liveable wages
-401K
-health insurance

Every step of this process has been the result of incredible support from family, friends, mentors, and industry professionals who took a chance on me and believed I achieve something bigger. 

This is the last big reach for me and I would be endlessly grateful for your help. Being able to get my union card will change my life in unimaginable ways, and will place me in a professional level where I can then help pay it forward to others.
