2017 JD and Shell Medical Expenses

Our beloved JD (my brother-in law) has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma (GBM) Brain Cancer.  He has already undergone a surgery to partially remove the tumor and faces many months of radiation and chemo.  He is a small business owner (Auto Upholstery Unlimited in Salina, KS) and has insurance with total out of pocket thresholds that will be a challenge to meet.

On top of that, he is faced with working everyday during all of his chemo and radiation.   He honestly wouldn't have it any other way, because that is just how he is, but we are all worried that he won't get the rest he needs to fight this aggressive cancer.  Faced with aggressive treatment of a disease that will last the rest of his life, we want him to enjoy life and not be burdened with worry about finances.

I have set our goal low on this fundraising campaign so that you know this is the minimum they will need to cover the medical expenses  just for this calendar year.  Wouldn't it be great to raise even more so JD and Shell (my sis) don't have to worry about money and can focus on the important things of life?

Those of you that know him need no further explanation.  For those of you that don't, let me just say JD  is truly an amazing human being that has been a ROCK for my sister and our entire family.  If anyone around him needs help, he is the first to jump in and help until the need is met.  He is also the first to smile and make everyone feel at ease.  I could go on and on, but let me just close here and THANK YOU for helping us give JD just a small piece of the PEACE he has given all of us.
