Help with Dad's hospital costs.

Hi all,
Bear with me, I'm writing this with one hand, as my other is holding onto my Dad's as he attempts to sleep through the night.
His life has been a colorful one. He's been a hippy, a veteran, and a company president. He's been penniless, lived off the streets, and well off. He's been married, had children, divorced, and married again, this time to his soulmate. He has a story and a bit of wisdom for every occasion.
This last year has been rough for him. He was recently let go from his job, and has been struggling to find work. And now he's fighting for his life. A few weeks ago, he came down with a rare form of pneumonia (eosinophilic), and has spent the last week in the hospital, currently in the ICU, oxygen mask and all.
Unfortunately, treatment is expensive, and since he lost his job, I honestly don't know if he even has any kind of insurance, nor do I know how long this visit will last (more than likely it's far from over). All I do know is that based off of his wife's income alone, we will need any help we can get.
I can't promise anything in return as of now, but any help is appreciated. If we can raise this money, I will do my best to help pay it forward in due time.
