Help Wes Replace Stolen Camera Gear

My name is Wes, and I'm a freelance portrait and lifestyle photographer living in Chicago. 

On the afternoon of Friday, May 19th, my car was broken into and all of my gear was stolen. I lost a  2015 Macbook Pro, My camera and lenses (A Canon 6D, 35mm, 50mm and 24-70mm lenses) and my external hard drive with tens of thousands of photos.



My car was locked and parked on a busy street, and in broad daylight, someone broke the rear window on the passenger's side, reached over and stole my camera bag with everything inside. 

I'm learning the lessons to hide your bag always,  insure your equipment, and backup everything--the hard way. 

I began pursuing full-time photography in November of 2016, so I now rely on my computer and equipment to make a living. I'm starting this campaign in hopes that, through the generosity of my family, friends, and previous/future clients, I might be able to get over this setback as soon as possible. Creating and capturing moments is one of the things I was put here to do, and I would love to get back to doing that as soon possible.

Any funds raised will go directly toward purchasing new equipment (or my own, should I find them at local pawn shops or online).  I'll be buying gently used items where possible.
