Help Wes Fight Cancer!

In June of 2018 my Dad found himself in pain he could not ignore. He underwent surgery to clear a clogged duct, and it seemed as though things were looking up. After surgery, the doctor decided he wanted to explore more as things didn't seem right. After further investigation, he was diagnosed with stage 1 pancreatic cancer. In July, on Lucie's birthday, what is sure to be a blessed day, he underwent the whipple procedure, an operation that few are as lucky to have. After surgery, his cancer was upgraded to a stage 2 because it was in 5 of the 25 lymph nodes removed.

He has been undergoing 12 rounds of chemo, with 4 different drugs since the end of September. Unfortunately,  last week we received the devastating news that the chemo wasn't working and the cancer has spread to his liver and lungs. He will begin a new course of action with different drugs that he will receive weekly at a hospital that is a farther drive.

The odds of beating Pancreatic cancer are less than favorable. My Dad has made radical changes in his health and lifestyle and is doing everything he can to beat this. I am proud of him for the strides he has made to truly put his health first. Turns out, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Any help provided will be used to offset the travel to and from the hospital, medical bills from surgery, hospital stays, chemo and other natural measures taken in this battle with cancer.

We are optimistic and hopeful that my Dad will beat the odds. My parents have always given selflessly to me and to our community in ways that I can only aspire to. I am hoping that in this we can all come together to support them in this tough time.
