Help us Save Meerab's Life

Meerab is only 9 years old and she is a student at Zephaniah Academy in Gujranwala, Pakistan. About 1 month ago she was cooking for her 4 younger siblings and there was a bad fire and she got second and third degree burns on her front and back of her torso. Sister Zeph, the founder and leader of the school didn't know about it for almost 1 month because of Eid (school was out). When she came to know about it she checked up on her immediately and saw that her mother was busy watching TV. 

After struggling with her parents she was able to bring the little girl to a private hospital with the help of friends. At first, no hospital would take her and then some friends back in America who have connections in Pakistan were able to get her admitted into a private hospital. She has to have her own private room because her wounds are open and she has a very dangerous bacteria in her body. This bacteria will cause harm to other patients so they have given her - her own room. 

Sister Zeph will also have to be tested now because she was holding her in her lap for many days and her wounds were open. To further exacerbate this- it is very hot in Pakistan this time of year and mosquitoes and flies were eating on her rotting flesh. Her parents were actually waiting for her to die. They had her locked up in a dark room with no air conditioning , treatment or care for 1 month. 

Now that she is in a private hospital there are friends back in America who are going to pay her most expensive medical costs but we still need help with the following: 

Sister Zeph has to pay for and has been paying out of pocket for: 

-medicine (she needs different medicines every day) and their costs are variable (they can be $50 or $80) 

-Travel costs: Sister Zeph has to travel back and forth from Gujranwala to Lahore to visit her weekly and she spent 6 days in constant travel recently which cost hundreds of dollars in gas. (it is 2 hours each way) 

-Her private room; Sister Zeph has had to pay $500 in deposits several times and this will be continuous. 

-Food; Meerab needs a certain diet now because she is emaciated from lack of nutrition

-Clothing; we have to buy her clothes because she doesn't have hardly any clothes and we need to buy her very soft clothing that has to be stitched in specific ways so they don't touch her wounds 

-Testing; she needs testing frequently because of her open wounds and infection 

-Blood; She has gotten 2 units of blood but in the coming days she will need more because she lost a lot of blood the past month because she wasn't getting any treatment and blood was coming out of her skin and wounds every moment

Thank you so much for your generous donations- she will need to be in the hospital for 1 month and then Sister Zeph will be caring for her after that in her home until she is completely healed.
