Help Bring Back Alex with Stem Cell Therapy

Donation protected
Alex is a 14-year-old boy. On January 7, 2015, while he was playing on the computer and with his toys, he choked on a small toy. He was transported to the hospital and revived. The doctor said it was a miracle that he survived. He spent 6 months in the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and what was formerly RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago).

He suffered hypoxia (low oxygen to the brain), causing a brain injury. He has been paralyzed ever since, not being able to speak, eat (he is being fed through a G-tube), walk, talk, or move significantly. After he was discharged from the hospital, we continued rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. There we found out Alex might be able to improve with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Since then, we have been continuing with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Not long ago, we found out that Stem Cell Therapy could be an option for him. We contacted a clinic and consulted a doctor, and the doctor is saying that Alex is a good candidate for Stem Cell therapy. Now we need your help. Stem cell therapy is costly, insurance doesn’t cover it, and Alex might need more than one round of treatment, which would add up the costs. We are asking for your help to collect donations for Alex’s Stem Cell treatment and future rehabilitation.

Please help Alex. We believe that anything is possible with love and prayer. Thank you so much for your support!
