Steve Needs Your Help #teamferguson

Our dad has cancer.  He's in Stage IV. It's not just any cancer.  It's a rare aggressive cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma or Bile Duct Cancer if it's easier to say.  That's the only thing easy about it.  Our dad, Steve Ferguson is a young 67 year old husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend.  He is hysterically funny, an outstanding drummer with a lifelong career playing for music lovers all over and, most importantly he is the core of our family.  During the Thanksgiving holiday 2018 we noticed his eyes looked very yellow and told him so.  We knew he'd been having trouble eating and was losing weight pretty quickly.  He's 6'4" and has nicknames like Moose and Big Guy.  Seeing him looking this way was unusual.  He went to work the following Monday.  He's a popular DJ and Music/Program Director on a local country music station WTHO 101.7.  His boss told him he looked awful and to go see a doctor.  Dad went to the restroom and got a good look at his yellow eyes for himself.  He got scared.  Thank goodness.  One trip to the doctor lead to an immediate endoscopy and ultrasound.  Then, to another endoscopy and stent in his bile duct.  Yet another endoscopy, ultrasound, biopsies, a bigger more permanent stent, PET CT scan, etc.  Now, the diagnosis and prognosis.  Within 7 days of confirmation of the cancer, bile duct tumor and spreading of the cancer to lymph nodes in the surrounding area and them some, chemotherapy begins.  He already has the port.  Friday, January 11 was Treatment #1. He has been unable to work since November.  He is fortunate to have insurance and a boss allowing him to remain on payroll.  Even with this, his medical bills and just daily living expenses are adding up. It has all happened that fast.  This is where you come in.  We need your help.
