My name is Sarah and I have started this go fund me by the request of the family. Please share and help where you can as soon as possible as his time is limited.
This is for William Kelley, better known by most of us as Bear. Bear is well known to a lot of people, mostly because he's been a well known tattoo artist for DECADES! He loved tattooing, it was literally his life!! Just a month or so ago he stopped by the shop and said how much he loved the buzz of the machines!! He owned Bear's Den in Catonsville for a long time. We got the pleasure of him coming on board at Positive Image and Konkrete Jungle, and he then went to Route 11 Tattoo. Between tattooing and living in Baltimore and Hagerstown, and all the places he went fishing and his travels, Bear is loved everywhere! A Big Bear he is, rough around the edges, and give you the shirt off his back and more love then a hundred men.
Just a few weeks ago, after feeling not so well, has since discovered he has stage 4 pancreatic and lung cancer. Over the last week he went from coherent to hospice just literally tonight. We watched the decline first hand. I spoke to him on the phone a little over a week ago and he was completely with it. We visited yesterday and he was weak, not making full sentences and irritable, though I think he knew we were there!! The doctor did a half round of chemo on Tuesday, but It's not looking good for him. Through all the prayer and hope, it looks as though the cancer will unfortunately take over his body completely. Tragic. Just tragic. He's been through a lot over the years, including helping while his brother in law went through a similar health decline just 2 years ago.
This is where you come in. Bear has graciously helped out anyone who has ever asked for it. Monetarily or otherwise. He does not have life insurance and unfortunately funeral expenses will be a concern for his family in the near future. We need to come together, for him and his family, and allow them to provide all who love him with a chance for one final good bye. This money will be for funeral expenses, used by the family as they wish.
