In the six years since it began in 2012, Composing in the Wilderness has quickly acquired an international reputation as one of the most desirable summer programs in composition. Their unique approach of taking composers into the wilderness for an immersive inspirational experience, and then providing top-notch performers to premiere the resulting pieces, has attracted participants of the highest level. Andrew and Abigail were selected from among talented applicants from many countries on five different continents, including professors and graduate students at top institutions, as well as freelance composers of many types. Upon returning, the participants will have a couple of months to complete their pieces before the culminating concert takes place at Federal Hall National Memorial in New York City. The registration fee for this festival is $3,550 per individual and does not include travel expenses.

Hello! Abigail and I have decided on a few goal tiers. If we reach these milestones, here's what will happen:
$1,000 - Abigail dyes her hair
$2,000 - Andy dyes his hair purple or blue
$3,000 - Abigail gets a nose piercing
$5,000 - Andy shaves his head
$7,500 - Abigail gets a tattoo drawn by either Andy or one of our $1,000 donors!

That brings me to our donor tiers. Donors who donate in these tiers will receive the following:

$20 - $99 get a thank you shoutout on social media (unless they wish to remain anonymous)
$100 - $199 get a post card from Alaska after our trip sent to them
$200+ get personal thank you videos of Abigail and Andy in Alaska
$1,000+ get the opportunity to draw a possible tattoo for Abigail if we reach the full $7,500 milestone

Thank you for your donations and please share our campaign!
