Friends, a while back we announced that we had been accepted to Netroots Nation to present a panel. And we've put together an amazing team to go and represent Las Cruces and Doña Ana County to the rest of the world about the work being done here, right on the border.
We know that Trump is holding children hostage so he can "build the wall" but what most people aren't talking about is that THE WALL IS ALREADY BEING BUILT. Along the southern border of Doña Ana County, miles of 18' foot wall sections have already been installed, replacing the vehicle barriers and effectively cutting off the ability of any animal larger than a lizard from moving freely across the landscape. And of course, we know that the wall is also a symbol of division and hate and has no place in our state or our country.
That's why we're so excited to be able to take our story to the world's largest gathering of progressive organizers, Netroots Nation. It's being held in New Orleans this year and we need some help getting there and having a place to stay while we're there.
We know there's SO much going on right now and that there are a lot of worthy causes to give to, but if you have an extra $5 (or $100) we would be so grateful for your support in helping us tell the world about what's happening here in la Frontera.
