Last year I had the opportunity to chaperone my school's 8th grade class trip to EPCOT and the other Walt Disney parks. I had the opportunity to witness a week of "firsts" for more than 20 kids! It was the first plane ride for almost half the group, first trip to Disney for most kids, first hotel stay, etc.
This year, we are preparing to take another 28 students to participate in the Disney educational YES program, and spend 1 week at Disney World.
They've worked hard! The trip emphasizes our core values of respect and responsibility. Students have ran fundraisers, collected cans and bottles and hosted a tag sale to help raise money for their trip.
Final payments are due this month, and 3 students are likely to fall short. With time running out, they need any help you can offer to ensure they are included in a once in a lifetime opportunity!
