Help us get Lola better!

My name is Brandon and I am the loving dog dad of Lola. I adopted Lola last year and since that moment we have been inseparable (not kidding, she has separation anxiety).  Lola has a sassy personality and loves cheese, her toys, playing in Central Park, and naptime.  She is the most energetic doggy out there.

Over the past week and a half Lola has not been herself.  She has been sleeping all day, and refusing to eat, even her cheese and treats.  Yesterday was one of the hardest days since having her.  After many tests and hours spent at the hospital, she was diagnosed with immune mediated hemolytic anemia.  The treatment requires numerous blood transfusions, IV medications, and other supportive care measures. Lola is currently at the Animal Medical Center where she will be for at least 3 days receiving 24 hour care and they will be stabilizing her anemia.  

After receiving this news, we were notified of the substancial financial cost of her treatment and hospitalization.  As a medical student, with no current income, this amount was something I was not prepared for.  In addition to the hospital bill she will be on months of medications.

We appreciate all your support, love, and prayers during this hard time.  All we want is our sassy princess back home and healthy.  Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
