Help Travis Fight Hodgkin's

Please help Travis battle Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After several months of fighting what was thought to be pneumonia, Travis got a confirmed diagnosis of Stage 4 Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin Lymphoma. This was after only a month of getting engaged. When he should be planning his wedding, he is now fighting for his life. In his initial CT scan they found a 7-8” mass above his heart and numerous nodules around his lungs and spine. The cancer had compromised his spleen, liver and bone marrow. After 2 rounds of the golden standard of chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s, (ABVD), everything was looking up. His body was responding well to the chemo with almost all signals of the cancer gone and he was beginning to gain some of the 35 pounds he had lost. However, after round four, Travis received the devastating news that his cancer had refracted and was returning in full force throughout his spine. After a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, a new plan to battle this disease was developed. However, this combination of chemo drugs are not recognized by Florida Blue Cross and Blue Shield. It is absolutely insane that an insurance company will refuse to cover a treatment that other companies cover and that some of the best doctors in the world believe is Travis’s best chance of recovery. This new plan, (BVB), has shown an 80% remission rate in refectory patients such as Travis. After this therapy has been completed and stated as he is appealing the insurance company’s decision, he will need a stem cell transplant and will need to stay for 6-8 weeks in Rochester, Minnesota in the hospital and then a transplant house. Needless to say, Travis and his fiancé, Toni, have begun to rack up thousands of dollars in medical bills.  Any amount you can donate will be put towards his medical bills. Any extra funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help others in need.
