Help Tiffany Fight Endometriosis/Adenomyosis

Donation protected
In June, my wife Tiffany and I traveled to have her seen by a Endometriosis Specialist at the Vital Health Endometriosis Center.

Tiffany needs to have another surgery, during this doctor visit her pathology report was explained to us in detail, along with several tests done - With Atypical Glandular Cells, Tiffany has a very high risk of uterine cancer, not only is she suffering with her Endometriosis but has now been diagnosed with Adenomyosis. Tiffany has several polyps and several tumors (different sizes) currently in her uterus and a large cyst on the left ovary. For Tiffany to regain her quality of life, it would require her to undergo surgery in September.

Unfortunately, our insurance does NOT cover the costs for our expert surgeon. The insurance will cover hospital fees, including the anesthesiologist and general surgeon. However, any fees associated with the Endometriosis expert will be out-of-pocket expenses.

Contributions will help cover -

Tiffany's Surgery which will involve 11 procedures -
Laparoscopy
Full Volume Wide Excision of Endometriosis
Lysis Of Adhesions
Enterolysis
Ureterolysis
Blocks
Oophoropexy
Hysterectomy
Salpingectomy
Oophorectomy (left)
Bladder Suspension

If we are so blessed to raise over the amount of the surgery cost of $15,500 the contributions will go towards our travel costs.

Please consider donating, Tiffany needs this surgery!

Thank you for your care and consideration! Any level of support makes a big impact.

 Tiffany's Story -

Tiffany has been battling Endometriosis for 25 years, she suffered through her teenage years and then was diagnosed at age 22 when her first Laparoscopy Surgery was done.

Endometriosis  causes a tremendous amount of pain, inflammation, organ dysfunction, bowl or urinary disorders, infertility, extreme fatigue, and so forth. The disease may impact all areas of the pelvis, bowel, bladder, fallopian tubes, behind the pelvis, the diaphragm, small bowel, appendix, pelvic side walls, pelvic floor, peritoneal pockets, ovaries, uterus, and rarely in the lungs.

While many OB/GYN’s are willing to perform surgery, most of them are not adequately trained. Endometriosis surgery is more serious and complicated than most people realize. The disease is highly complex and requires expertly trained surgeons. Most GYN's do not have the certifications or skills to operate in all infected areas. The disease manifests in many different shapes, colors, sizes, and locations, causing most surgeons to miss it entirely. If they manage to find any disease, the surgeon will most likely use ablation (vulgarization) to burn off the diseased tissue. This is NOT proper treatment, as deeply infiltrating disease cannot be burned. Unfortunately, women who receive this type of surgery have an 80% chance of Endometriosis growing back.

Tiffany has had 4 surgeries because of Endometriosis and we are hopeful this upcoming one will be her last.

Dr. Andrew Cook, the surgeon we chose has a 90% success rate of removing the disease entirely. Which is awesome as the national average for OBGYN’s is a shockingly low success rate of only 20%.
