Please Help Thor, the Lava Dog, and his Servants, escape from our Volcanic Island to the North!
Things have been very dangerous on the Big Island of Hawai`i lately. We know what is happening here is geologically interesting, but honestly, the giant lava fountains, dangerous gases that make one ill, and constant earthquakes, sometimes as many as 500 in just a few hours, have been unnerving to both man and beast.
As of yesterday, an entire parking lot fell into Kilauea Volcano's Hale ma'u ma'u crater, which is only a mile from our home. Things are collapsing daily and the range is expanding. Thor, the lava dog, and my mother and I fled across the mountain pass to the other side of the island and have been mostly sleeping in our van and staying in parks. We all want to leave very badly, but we just don't have enough money.
We have found an inexpensive house in the North of the U.S. mainland and want relocate there so that we shall be safe. Please help us with our costs if you are able to!! I am a person who rarely asks anyone for help, but this is a challenging and horrifying situation, and we need your help and would be very grateful for it. The scale of this disaster is immense and there is no end in sight according to geologists who fled themselves to Hilo. The Red Cross and FEMA staff told us they had never seen anything like it, because most disasters are over in a few days, but this one just goes on and on.

Any funds donated will be used to transport my mother, a retired school teacher and librarian, Sharon Fenner, our dog, Thor, and me, and our cultural organization headquarters which we have operated for 7 years, to the mainland, and to help pay for the down payment and closing costs of an inexpensive house we are trying to buy in the northern United States. It is very costly to evacuate and relocate from the Pacific to the mainland of the United States and we are hoping to raise enough money to make it possible for us to reach a safer place.
