Help the Iranian students community

For students all over the world, studying abroad is a life changing experience, an opportunity to expand and inform our perspectives of the world we share and the many cultures therein. As such, many talented young students leave Iran to come to the US to study in multicultural universities, including Savannah College of Art and Design (where I am studying now).
Recent political issues between the governments of the US and Iran have resulted in an increase in the currency exchange rate in Iran, effectively doubling it in as little as 6 months. Besides the inherent hardship that such a currency rate places on the Iranian, the problem is made worse by policies restricting US companies from doing business with Iran and thus making it nearly impossible for parents to send money from Iran to their children studying abroad.
As an Iranian student in the US who is experiencing those difficulties I cannot close my eyes to the hardship facing my Iranian friends at SCAD. Our educations and our futures should not be subject to the ramifications of international political currents; therefore, I am asking for your generosity in donating towards some of their needs to keep their dreams alive and their educations on track.
Your donations will go to Iranian students in SCAD who are facing real financial issues to provide assistance with:
- Living expenses such as rent and groceries
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks and school materials
As I have talked with the students who needs the help, I will receive the money under my name into my bank acc, from then I will distribute the money that we raised with your help between them base on their needs urguncy.
