HELP THE BRAZILIAN NATIONAL SOFTBALL TEAM

The Brazilian National Softball 19-U team  would greatly appreciate your help to raise funds to cover some of the expenses as we prepare to compete at the 2019 Junior Women’s Softball World Cup in Irvine, CA. 
As most of you may not know, softball is not a big sport in Brazil. We work very hard to promote our sport in the best way we can but we still struggle to get financial help from the government to fund our international trips.  

About the tournament:
This year our girls qualified to play in the XIII U-19 Junior Women’s Softball World Cup, which is a pretty big deal for our country! The tournament will be held in Irvine, CA on August 11-17th.

Why we need your help?
We are fortunate enough to receive donated equipment (such as balls, bats, and catcher's gear) from some schools where a couple of Brazilian student-athletes currently attend. International tournaments are very expensive considering the currency exchange rate. Unfortunately, for this upcoming trip the hotel and other miscellaneous expenses are going to be very high. Our currency fluctuates between USD 1 = R$3,60-4,00.  Although $5000 may be affordable for most delegations, our National Team can't always cover the costs - despite the help from parents, friends, and the few sponsors we get. 
All the funds donated will be used to cover hotel/food for the 10 days we will be staying in Irvine. Our coaching staff is very small and we are trying our best to make ends meet so that our girls get to enjoy this amazing experience of playing softball in America.
