Hello everybody, my name is Marta Talise Astier from Venezuela, living in Montreal Canada and helping my dear cousin Isabel Thaina Astier from Venezuela.
She is suffering Giant multinodular Goiter.
Unfortunately five years ago she began to notice that her neck started to get bigger and after many consultations, waiting lists and having been treated for three different endocrinologists, one oncologist and two surgeons her diagnosis came to light.
A surgery to remove her thyroid (total Thyroidectomy) is needed in order to avoid loose her voice or choking due to obstruction in the airways.
As a result of the enormous economic crisis in our country and the high rate of inflation, insurances companies can not cover any simple surgeries whatsoever.
The budget's surgery is around $ 4000 dollars but it increases every day due to the High inflation rate.
