Tracey's Breast Cancer Fund

If you know Tracey you know she is a kind, beautiful person always full of positive energy. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a good friend to everyone she meets. She has a giant heart and is the first to consider others feelings. At this time Tracey must work to make ends meet. Her husband John works a demanding job far from home and is also in the military reserves.

Tracey has an advanced but treatable stage of Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She’s already had endured months of chemo. Following that she had surgery and a biopsy that removed several axillary lymph nodes. All that were removed except one still tested positive for cancer. Tracey cannot receive further scans of her body because she is still trying to pay back the bills from previous scans. Her medical bills are mounting and will continue to grow in 2019.

Tracey will require more rounds of chemo and will be getting radiation and going for PT to treat the arm lymphedema that developed following removal of the lymph nodes. ALL OF THESE TREATMENTS MUST OCCUR TOGETHER! They are refusing her Pet scans, Cat scans, Bone scans and ultrasounds which are crucial tools to assist in her recovery. Starting in January she will be back to square one and have to meet very high deductibles.

I am starting this campaign and writing on Tracey’s behalf because we are tied together by an invisible pink ribbon, not only as friends for many years but also as members of the breast cancer community. As I also had two rounds of chemo, numerous surgeries, radiation, and PT for lymphedema, plus numerous scans BUT my health insurance covered practically everything. It is essential that Tracey receives cancer treatments including scans to show her progress. Her very life depends on these advancements of modern medicine. Her insurance company simply does not cover all the costs.
