Help support the Rhoads Family!!

On May 27th, Josh had a grand-mal seizure in the middle of the night while visiting family in Memphis TN. After a CT and MRI scan, they found cerebral edema along with a tumor. That Friday, May 31st, he had surgery to remove the tumor along with testing to confirm the type. It was found that he had a Stage 2 Oligodedroglioma, which is a slow-growing brain tumor. The surgery was a success and the surgical team was able to get all of the tumor without having to cause damage or sacrifice any part of Josh's brain. At this time Josh is doing well and is recovering in Memphis; stable and healing.

The hope is that they can come home the week of the 17th, and continue to monitor and establish treatment. There is quite a long road to recovery with surgery and diagnosis of this type but all signs show that Josh is doing amazing considering the circumstances. Much of his treatment can be done locally or in Seattle, and we look forward to welcoming the Rhoads family back home sometime next week.

This Gofundme page is being set up for those who would like to help the Rhoads family in Josh's recovery. Through strength in faith and prayers, the Rhoads family has been able to be a powerhouse of support for Josh. However, any financial support would be greatly appreciated due to the extenuating circumstances of being away from home for this entire experience. This in concert with a long leave of absence from work and medical bills has created a significant financial burden for their family.

We feel blessed in the fact that God continues to be with them and give them strength in a very difficult time. If you feel compelled to donate, we thank you for any contribution you'd like to make. Choosing a "campaign goal" amount was difficult; however, Josh and Wylie emphasized that any contribution will go directly to hard costs and expenses and if there are any additional funds they will be donated to the St. Jude Medical Center.

A special thanks to all Josh's family and friends that have done so much to help, pray and support this family in such a difficult time.
