Shelly Hunter-Salyer is currently at UofM, battling round 2 of cancer.

Currently, one lung is about 2/3rd collapsed.  She has cancer (metastatic breast cancer) in her other lung, cancer on her liver and a few spots on her kidneys.  She's had a 4 rounds of radiation so far.  The plan is for 10.  Radiation is now on hold as they attempt placing a stent in her lung on 4/18/18 to allow her to breathe on her own.

Ray has been an awesome husband, by her side every minute of the way.  Your support will help towards medical bills and expenses on continued hospital visits, house bills, etc.

Shelly, You are stronger than you know ... braver than you think ... and more loved than you can ever imagine.

Shelly had a treatment plan in place at the Cancer Center of America. They said treatments would be hard and 3 weeks apart. In between treatments, her and Ray would come back to Battle Creek. Shelly got through one treatment, but it was so hard on her weak body that she had a tough time, and her calcium level spiked, putting her back in the hospital in Battle Creek.

The cancers are fighting her badly.

She really needs all of our prayers right now. Please take a minute to say one for her, Ray and her family.

xoxo

Shelly is now at “The Care & Rehabilitation Center at Glacier Hills” in Ann Arbor. She’s in good spirits and doing well. She will get occupational and physical therapy daily to get her stronger, as well as gain a stronger oxygen level. The sooner she gains strength, the soon they can start chemo. The radiation she was getting was not shrinking the cancer, so the goal is to get her strength back and start chemo. The chemo is what will shrink the cancers. They would like to re-evaluate her after a week – and hoping it will be no longer than 2 weeks at rehab.

Ray continues to be by her side. :)

Tracy Swafford & I seen her this past weekend at UofM and enjoyed her smiles.

Please continue to keep her in all your prayers. And most of all, Thank You for your kindness.

Friends Forever.
