In July 2018, at 5 months pregnant with our second child, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. A rare in adults cancer that is aggressive and stubborn. For the past 8 months I have been fighting through chemo treatments in Ottawa, 6 hours away from home.
The last last few months have been hell... to make things worse, at Christmas time we lost our premature son at just shy of 4 months due to SIDS. It has been incredibly difficult for me going through treatments and dealing with grief and our families have struggled as well.
Travelling costs have been the biggest expense for us and our families as they travel back and forth often. This has put a huge financial strain on us and on our families as well, hence the creation of this page.
