Help support Lara's battle with cancer

Two weeks ago my cousin, Lara, at the age of 44, was given the devastating news that she has high-grade Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body’s immune system. Due to the nature of this cancer Lara will start a 4-month course of chemotherapy and Immunotherapy in a few days time.
After 25 years of living and working in London she followed her desire for a fresh beginning and started a new life and an exciting challenge of living in a different country. Lara now lives in Crete in a beautiful house which she has lovingly restored over the last 4 years and is finally living her dream.
Lara not only has a big heart with people but also with animals and has two stray cats and her beloved dog Barty whom she rescued from the bottom of a dumpster when he was only four weeks old. For those of you who have had the good fortune to know Lara I’m sure you will agree with me when I say that she is the most beautiful, funny, generous, courageous person that I have had the privilege to grow up with. She has a wonderful personality and is always happy and smiling. She is kind and compassionate and will do anything for anyone. She has met so many people and made many friends from her travels around the world and her job as a globe trotting nanny and latterly as a Maternity nurse helping mothers and their newborn babies and her compassion for those less well off is boundless. She has such a big heart and enough love for everyone.
The news of her cancer has come as a complete shock but she is adamant she will stay positive and beat this disease whilst living in her own home surrounded by her pets. Due to ongoing stomach problems and sickness and then two lots of surgery where part of her intestines were removed and being in and out of hospital she has been unable to work since June and therefore has had no income since. She will not be able to work for a considerable time but will still need to pay her mortgage, medication, doctors bills, and day-to-day needs while going through her treatments and recovery.
To this end I am asking you to help out my gorgeous cousin in her time of need, so she can concentrate on getting well again and fighting this illness. She is not someone who would ever ask for help and I know she tries to be so very independent but this time sadly she cannot do it on her own. I know she will be more then grateful, humbled and extremely touched by any help anyone can give her.
