Sandra Arthur is a charity volunteer in Victoria, BC, Canada who has been promoting and fundraising for kids in Nepal for many years. She is asking that you please help Children’s Home Nepal to provide essential school supplies and items (uniforms, bags, books, pens, paper etc) as well as much needed computers to aid over 280 orphaned, abandoned, underprivileged babies and children near Kathmandu, Nepal and school in Mahendrangar. The non-profit Children’s Home and School, in Khokana, and Mahendranagar, has been run by Uttar for 28 years. 100% of donations will be used by Uttar and his team to help the children in Nepal.

Access to a computer is key to helping the students learn and connect globally providing these youth with a modern way to explore our world and hopefully find a job in the future.

Since the terrible earthquake that hit Nepal back in April 2015, the Home and School has taken in additional orphaned children or those that have been displaced or separated from their family. The school building has damage and wear and tear plus a new Government law states that all school buildings must be painted yellow. They are in desperate need to receive donations to conform to the new regulations and to arrange essential renovation work to their home and school building .

34299194_1541568163684600_r.jpegFor over 28 years, Uttar and his team have been caring for hundreds of abandoned babies and children and given them a home, education and a chance to live. They work tirelessly to fundraise around the world to ensure sufficient donations are received to buy food, medicine, clothes, pay staff and also supply materials for school. Their mission is to ‘fulfill the parental responsibility for a child who does not have parents to love, care and support them”.

Life is hard in Nepal. Many people are poor. To go to school, you have to pay. Women’s literacy is only around 45%, general literacy 65%, so for these children, who have no family or parents, gaining an education is an essential goal. Once the children reach 16 years of age, they need to find work. If a woman is educated society will also be developed. So it is imperative to provide these vulnerable children (boys and girls) with skills and knowledge to help them improve their living standards.

We hope you can dig deep and make a donation to ensure that we can help the children and students living at these Children Homes, Khokana and Mahendranagar, Nepal. If you believe helping children with their education and giving them a chance of a better life is important, we ask for your support and to share this request with your contacts.

With your help we can buy the essential supplies and computers to equip the school and homes so the students can have a brighter future. AND at the same time, arrange important painting and repair work making them a safe place to live, study and thrive.

Any amount of donation would make a great impact to the lives of these students. Even if you can't give a donation right now, please share and encourage others to review this Go Fund Me page - A share brings in an average of $35! I hope you will join me to help Uttar and all the children at his Homes and School in Nepal. I can promised you that 100% of your donation will be well spent to support this Nepalese School and Children’s Home.   Example: a donation of $126 will buy 10 pairs of shoes.

We hope you can help and wishing you the very best during this festive season.34299194_1541568340806239_r.jpeg
