Help Sue STAND UP, STAND STRONG and FIGHT!

Do you know someone that is always helping others? The one that will lend an ear and always has something positive to say.  The one that will make you laugh although you want to cry? 

All of us know ONE person all too well that is like this:   Sue Stacks   She’s always there to help others, lend an ear, and now it’s time for all of us to “band” together to support and pray for her.

After a routine colonoscopy, Sue received the shocking diagnosis that stopped her right in her tracks.  She was diagnosed with Stage III Colorectal Adenocarcinoma. The word “cancer” is such a scary word to hear and even scarier when you are the one being told you have it.  So, the next few days were filled with questions, fear,  and Faith that God was going to get her through whatever she was facing.  After going to the oncologist for her initial appointment, she was faced with decisions and even more questions of which treatment plan to choose.  After a quiet weekend, lots of prayers, and God's guidance, she made her decision.  

The first step in this journey was the surgical insertion of a port on March 20th.  The next step was receiving her first chemo treatment which began March 21st.   The three day treatment consists of: a 3 hour drip on day 1,  continuous pump on days 2 & 3.  She will have 5 additional treatments in this manner with an evaluation half way through the treatment.  Based on her progress, Proton Therapy (a type of radiation) will follow.  This will require her to travel to Knoxville for treatment.  

In addition to the Go Fund Me donation goal,  we are selling $5 blue wrist bands with her favorite verse on it: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil. 4:13.  We have 200 bracelets. Let’s sell out and show her our support by purchasing a band and wearing it.
