Help Steven stay at Goucher!

Hello! 

My name is Steven McCafferty, and I'm a first-year student at Goucher College, just finishing my first semester. In the short time that I've been here at Goucher, I've fallen in love with not only the academics but also the culture and the amazing community that has been fostered here.

It's because of this love and passion, that I've thrown myself into numerous extracurricular activities and organizations here on campus. As of right now, I am a member of not only the Voter registration team but also an active member of our Goucher Student union, a student representative on the Curriculum Committee and recently, elected to be the senator for the Class of 2023. All of my work has been dedicated to the service of our community and helping my peers as best I can, and ultimately to prove that I deserve to be here because I love this school so much.

Aside from my work as a student representative, I'm also an active admissions ambassador and overnight host. It's within this job that I fulfill my work-study requirement, and am able to help the school that I love by attracting new students.

But as of recently, my family has had the unfortunate experience to go under some financial difficulties. From moving, and the expenses associated with that, there is a concern that I won't be able to remain here until things settle financially. However, as we approach the end of the fall semester, I would like to do all that I can to support my family and pay off the current balance so I can attend next semester. 

That being said, this campaign is dedicated to paying my tuition and the current balance that we're struggling with. If paid before the start of the new year, I'll be able to continue classes into the next semester, and ideally have a far more stable financial situation. With your help, I'll be able to continue my education here at Goucher, and persist with supporting and serving the community and School that I have come to love, and that has come to be my new home.
