Help Steven Boyd's Cancer Battle!

Donation protected
Steven Boyd (40) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on September 17, 2018 at South Central Medical Cancer Center in Laurel, MS.  He is the loving father of four children ranging in ages 9-17.  Steven began Chemotherapy Treatment on September 18, 2018 the day after he was diagnosed due to the aggressiveness of the cancer he has.  They found that Cancer was present in 90% of his bone marrow. This is going to require him to be in the hospital for a minimum of a month.  That is dependent on him going into remission, if the first round of Chemotherapy is successful.  There is also a possibility of Steven having to have a Bone Marrow Transplant, which would require him be transferred to a larger cancer treatment center.  This would ultimately add a longer period of him being hospitalized and thus out of work. He has been employed in the oil industry for over 15 years, and has just recently began employment with a new company less than 30 days ago, which means he is not eligible for health insurance coverage due to the company's 30 day waiting period.  We have also been told, that Paid Medical Leave is not an option for him.  We have began the process of trying to get him on Social Security Disability, however that process takes quiet a while, and we are afraid with him being out of work, that some costs cannot wait for him to be approved.  The road ahead for Steven and his family is going to be a difficult journey, and although he has all of his family's support, being able to help him financially with things such as medical expenses, supporting his children, and as well as making sure he has a home to go to during this battle, is invaluable.   Please, anything that you can give, no matter how big or small, would make the greatest difference for Steven and his family during this difficult time. Due to having numerous blood transfusions, due to the type of cancer he has, we are also asking for anyone who is able, to DONATE BLOOD at your local blood bank in STEVEN BOYD'S name.  We are asking this due to a shortage in our area, they are having to outsource blood from other states.  You would never know how much that helps a family during a time like this.  Money isn't everything, but being able to support someone while they are fighting for their life, is such a blessing, and could never be rewarded. We ask that you share this with your friends and family, so we are able to make the biggest difference in honor of Steven.  We are also asking, if you are unable to donate, that you would please pray for him.  Prayer is the ultimate medicine, and even if you can't give, your prayers are always greatly appreciated.  We thank you, we love you, God bless you.
