Help Stephen Kent After Apartment Fire

Stephen's family is displaced after their apartment in Raleigh caught fire and was condemned/will be torn down. Thankfully everyone is safe, but this means that they are facing unexpected expenses to start over, get resettled, and plan for the future. 

For those who know Stephen, he is a great guy who has done a lot of work to help young folks advance their media careers. Personally, he got me to get on TV and the experience needed to have my current job. There are many things he's done for everyone in Young Voices as well as other people who know him. He also runs a great Star Wars and politics podcast called Beltway Banthas. His family are wonderful and they often share their antics on social media (especially of their daughter).

They didn't lose everything and it could have been much worse. They are alive and their material losses were minimal. They are also staying with friends at the moment. But needless to say among their new expenses are:

-The Cost of Setting Up New Housing (utility startups, new wall mounts, decorations and items from old home that can’t come along)

-A Rental Car (their insurance doesn't cover it and their current car got melted/totaled by the fire)

-A Several Hundred Dollar Deductible on a New Car

-Food (it got destroyed by smoke damage)

-Furniture Repair (they should be able to keep  what they have currently)

-Moving expenses and deductibles

Stephen has helped many of us and now it is time to help him. We're asking all wings to report in and to rally for our friend and colleague. Thank you for contributing what you can! And please spread the word!
