Help Special Ed Teacher Kelly Fight Breast Cancer

This past June at the age of 41, my daughter, Kelly, went for her first ever mammogram. Nine spots between the two sides (one confirmed cancer, Grade 3)  meant 6 weeks later she had a double mastectomy and her life changed forever.  She was initially able to recover from her Aug. 9th surgery quick enough to make it back to school for day one to be with her 18 special education students but after 10 weeks she is still recovering from complications and her chemo was delayed. Multiple extra treatments and trips (5 hours each way) to the doctor means her available medical time from work is being used up before she even begin  chemo treatments.

The oncologist has warned her that the 4 rounds of very intense chemo are going to hit her hard and he stressed if she had an employer that would allow her to take 12 weeks off to face what will be a very treacherous chemo path, he strongly urges she take the time off. Of course that would mean no income so without the support of others she cannot afford to do what is the most difficult part of her cancer journey...put her healing first! 

Asking for help is very difficult for Kelly but she knows that putting her health and chemo treatments first will ultimately help her in the long run.
