Help Sia Fight Cancer

Now, more than ever, Sia, an activist and mother, needs the love and support of her community as she battles stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. In July 2019, Sia was hospitalized for 15 days due to high levels of calcium in her blood, a life threatening condition caused by cancer progression. Now, in order to cover basic expenses like food and rent, and to pay the cost of in-home care, we need your help to raise at least $25,000, hopefully more.


Complications due to cancer progression have resulted in frequent hospital admissions and limited her mobility -- making it difficult for her to run errands, prepare food, bathe and dress herself, see loved ones, go to medical appointments, and use the restroom. Sia has been approved for a very limited amount of IHSS hours and it is not sufficient to meet her basic needs of caring for herself. We are calling on her community to help us raise at least $25,000 so that Sia can receive the care she needs and deserves.
