This is Joy and her 10 year old daughter Sienna. Joy is a single mom from my church, Grace Family Church South Tampa, who is currently battling Stage 4 Cancer in her Lymph Nodes. Two years ago, Joy survived Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer and now she is going through it all over again. Joy is only two months into her 6 month chemotherapy treatment. It has been a tough road for both of them, but they are so brave! Spending time with Joy it is clear what her sole motivation is to push through - Sienna!
Sienna is a HUGE Dolly Parton fan! (Check out Sienna's song below!)
It has been a dream of her's to visit Dollywood in Tennessee! Please help us make this happen for Joy and Sienna! It would be an incredible memory for this sweet mother and daughter who have spent countless hours encouraging and supporting other cancer patients. Please keep reading - this is the best part!
The Back Story (In Sienna's own words):
"My mom Joy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer in June of 2016. It was really hard and very scary!
I started making her inspirational prayer beads to cheer her up:) I started surprising her with them. I would put them in her bag and she would bring them to her chemotherapy and radiation treatments!
It really made her happy and gave her hope! We came up with an idea shortly after to make and give out my prayer beads to the other cancer patients at Tampa General Hospital. Everyone really liked them and it gave them hope and made them cheerful!❤️
We also started making and giving out my prayer beads to Children's homeless shelters, delivering them to local hospitals and mailing them out, when someone was in need of HOPE!"

Our Goal is to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of airline tickets, transportation, accommodations at the Dollywood Resort, Park tickets and food. Any amount raised over that will help Joy with medical expenses.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
