Help Sedona

UPDATE:

She's in the early phase of recovery.  A lot of bruising remains in the traumatized area; but, the surgeon said that is to be expected after what she has experienced. He said that she did well with the anesthesia but is still in recovery. He said as she becomes more awake, that they will watch for anxiety; but, overall, my Sedona has come through the surgery like a champion. They will keep her overnight to monitor her. If all goes well, my baby will return home tomorrow.

I thank God, the saints, angels and all of you earth angels. Your support, positive thoughts, energies and prayers were heard and answered by God, the Universe, Great Spirit! I KNOW that without your love, support and energy, this blessed outcome could have gone in a direction not pleasing.

From the bottom of Sedona's and my hearts, THANK YOU!!!!!

If you wish to receive updates on Sedona, please follow me on Facebook.  Eventually, I may create her own Facebook profile.  The following  is a photograph of Sedona prior to the incident.  I tried to post a video clip but the system wouldn't let me.   Sedona and I are forever grateful to all of you.  THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you!

Update:   Sedona met with the surgeon today.  He advised of additional injuries:  multiple fractures in her pelvis, something about the base of her spine and the bone that protects it.  He stated that hopefully in time, these injuries may heal.  He did stress the importance of having the surgery to resolve the bone on bone pain that Sedona is experiencing from the dislocation.   He also advised that i would have to be her physical therapist after the surgery.

Unfortunately, I had not raised all of the monies by the time of the appointment; and, because it takes 2 to 5 days to receive a disbursement, the surgeon postponed the surgery until the services can be paid for in full.  Sedona will endure another week of pain which breaks my heart.  I showed this account and the funds raised but he remained firm in his decision to postpone the surgery.   I ask that you keep Sedona in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE:  As of April 21, 2017, Sedona has an appointment with the surgeon set for Monday, April 24, 2017.  They have scheduled the surgery for Tuesday, April 25, 2017.  The cost includes the consultation and the surgery.   They will not use a payment plan; therefore, the funds must be paid upfront.  Sedona and I thank you all for your donations, support and prayers.

Sedona was hit by a pickup truck. The first strike left her dazed. The driver stopped and thought she had moved out of the way when the rear tires rolled over her and tore a ligament and dislocated her hind leg. The joint cannot return and remain in the socket. The veternarian is unable to advise if there is any nerve damage. She needs a specialist to perform surgery, to provide pain management and to provide post-op therapy.
