Help Sean Ride w/ Friends & Family

Donation protected
When he was just 4 years old, Sean sustained a traumatic brain injury following abuse by his caregiver. He spent 2 months at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where several surgeries to relieve swelling on his brain were performed. This injury caused motor impairments primarily on the left side of his body that affects his overall motor coordination and strength. It has also impacted his cognitive skills including impulse control, self-regulation, and behavior.

When Sean was discharged from the hospital in January, 2014, he was placed into the loving home of his grandparents Ron and Regina. Soon after, Sean began therapy at Kids Place. By 2015, Ron and Regina had legally adopted Sean!

Sean loves to be outside. His favorite summer activity is swimming, but an adaptive bike would allow him to be outside and active throughout the year. Not only that, but this bike will improve his mobility, motor skills, and opportunities for exercise. For most of us, happy memories of riding our bike as a child are steeped into our brain. Please join us in creating those memories for Sean.
