Bismillah i rahman i rahim. It is always hard to ask for help. But I temporarily don't have another way at the moment.
Hi, salams everyone. I need help to save my historic family home from foreclosure this month. I'm hoping to get loans of about $1k from about 50 people (or $500 from 100 people, or as much as anyone can give). I intend to air bnb some rooms and dedicate the income to repaying people.
I need 60k to catch up, reinstate and save the home. I've set it at 45k because meanwhile I am working day and night as hard as I can at our family business and at acting to try and get together whatever I can. But realistically I know I won't be able to make it on my own. Once I am caught up I have enough income now to keep up with payments.
It will reinstate my mortgage and save a modification which forgave over 350k from before my mom passed away. And it will save my home which has been an important place for our family and the community for 40 years, with countless community events held here. My parents, who were very beloved and greatly missed community leaders, built and rebuilt this beautiful home three times and made it a center of cultural, family and community activities with so much love and memories in it. It's what I've been fighting so hard to save. It's very important to me.
I currently and host affordable acting classes there on Thursday nights and promise to open it up and host many more community events if I'm able to save it, God willing. I'm using another room as affordable housing for people in need.
Those who know me know that my family has been through a lot this past five years. Our family business was sabotaged while our mother had cancer. We lost her and our uncle a couple of years later and battled to restabilize things. The business is doing better now, thank God. This is one of the last big messes for me to fix.
For the past year, while focused on fixing things, I had not been able to pay myself much. The bank had said they would not take collection action against the home while I was getting things sorted out, so I took them at their word, but they lied.
I have to get this done quickly now. They foreclosed on me in October and served me on Friday. So I have less than a month. Have also hired a lawyer but that will probably just delay.
I am up day and night working and worrying about this and trying to find a solution.

I'm sorry to ask for this or be in this kind of position. It's embarrassing and I promise to try and make up for it and repay the kindness people show with good actions toward others, continued community work and care for my friends, family and those in need.
Again, this isn't a crisis for my entire family, who will not end up on the streets. This is just something I'm choosing to take on for the place I still love very much.
